Supreme Court’s “Writ of Kalikasan”, First in the World

The Supreme Court of the Philippines thru Chief Justice Reynato Puno announced that they will come up with set of rules on cases concerning the protection and preservation of the environment which will be known as “Writ of Kalikasan’ (Writ of Nature).

Puno told the audience in a forum on transformation leadership that he is set to leave a lasting legacy before he retires on May 17.  Such new writ, once approved by the Supreme Court, will be the very first in the world that would promulgate a new set of rules “to govern the prosecution of environmental cases and that there will be a radical paradigm shift in the way these cases are being prosecuted”.

These solutions can help, but in a country like the Philippines, where most people can't afford these technologies, it may seem that being green is as illustrious as having a fabulous lifestyle.
